SIGNATURE PROGRAMS & EVENTS
Soul Night
Soul Night is an annual event that Sigma Omicron hosts that consists of interacting with our student body and the public and educating others about the importance of Black History Month. As well as celebrating the joys and triumphs of Black History and its month-long duration of recollection regarding successful events and shining light on unique individual's success. In 2020, Sigma Omicron Chapter received "InterGreek Council Event of The Year" for our Soul Night event. This event educates and helps so many people. Our chapter looks forward to blossoming this event into something greater that can educate our student body and perhaps the whole community and the general public one day.
Z-HOPE
Z-HOPE, or Zetas Helping Other People Excel, is an interactive outreach program designed to stimulate and empower participants to develop healthy lifestyle choices throughout their life. Z-HOPE specifically targets demographics such as Women, Youth, Seniors, Men, and International Women of Color. Each year, the Sigma Omicron Chapter hosts Z-HOPE events in partnership with local schools, churches, and community organizations. Our goal is to positively impact many underserved populations and bring awareness to social, health, and wellness issues.
We look forward to this event shining a light on injustices, providing resources to those in need, and perhaps flourishing this event into something that can touch many lives.
